Description

  • Monument: A white marble block, without features (0.56 × 0.30 × 0.56).
  • Text: Inscribed on one face.
  • Letters: Clearly cut in a fluid style; 0.03-0.04; lunate sigma and cursive omega.
  • Date: Fourth century (lettering, content).

  κόμης ἐποίει καὶ τῇ ἑαυ-
  τοῦ πατρίδι προῖκα κα-

παίδων ἀνέθηκεν leaf

Translation

Fl(avius) Zeno, high priest and comes, made this and set it up for his own homeland at his own expense, according to (the terms of) his will (carried out) by his own children.
